Week 3 Seasonal Eating Meal Plan | January 19-25
It’s been a week of cooking from the crisper, freezer and pantry.
I had so much fresh food from last week’s farmers market that I hardly had to shop for ingredients this week! It worked out well because I was chained to my computer organizing a soul-wrenching brain dump I call, Planning the Kitchen Garden from Seed to Pantry.
Thank goodness for frittatas! These quiche-like one pan egg dishes are the perfect way to use veggies before they expire.

I was hungrier this week. Now that I’ve completely recovered from my holiday cold, I’ve been spending more time on the rowing machine! It’s been great catching up on Outlander while rowing away for an hour!

Most weeks I’ll share my own shopping list. This week, however, we really dug deep into the foods we had on hand.
As for proteins, I signed up for Butcher Box because they were running an enticing special. The scallops and salmon in the seafood stew came from our first delivery. I am very happy with the product and plan on writing a review in the near future.

NFL playoffs are in full swing! And, the pace of life is beginning to pick up now that we’re knee-deep into the new year. A great time-saver meal that is super flavorful and easy is a charcuterie board.
We eat a dinner that is a pile of yummy things on a cutting board at least once a week. Here’s a nice overview of how to pull different styles of boards together. If you are fortunate enough to have an Aldi in your community, their meats and cheeses are flavorful, affordable, and perfect for a game-day meal!
